The Boardroom Comedy Club (“we”, “us”) operates theboardroomcomedyclub.com and sells tickets to live comedy events in Toronto. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

When you buy a ticket we collect your name, email address, and where provided your phone number. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.

When you browse the site we collect standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and interactions with the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

  • To process ticket orders and send you your tickets and receipts
  • To contact you about the event you booked, including changes or cancellations
  • To send you information about upcoming shows, where you have opted in
  • To understand how people use our site and improve it
  • To measure and improve our advertising

Payment processing

Ticket payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are handled under their privacy policy. We receive only confirmation of payment and the order details.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) advertising tools, and Microsoft Clarity. These services use cookies and similar technologies to measure site usage and ad performance, and to show you relevant advertising.

Customer Match and similar audience tools. We may share your email address with advertising partners including Google and Meta in order to show you advertising about our shows, and to avoid showing you ads for events you have already booked. Where these services support it, your email address is converted into an irreversible hashed form before it is shared, so the partner cannot read your actual address. It is used only to match against existing accounts.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages, including mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, so we can find usability problems.

Email communications

If you opt in, we send occasional emails about upcoming shows. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We do not sell your email address.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep your ticket order working, to measure site usage, and for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the checkout may stop working if you do.

How long we keep information

We keep order and attendee records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and customer service purposes. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to marketing. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period.
